Indoor Colourful Snow Fun

We love winter, snow and playing outside in it, but some days when it is really nasty outside, we bring the snow in! Imagine playing with snow in bare-feet! One of our favorite ways to have snow-fun inside is to make colourful snow balls that PLUS, you can eat. (kids love to eat snow. it is just a fact.)

  1. Bring some clean fresh snow inside in a large bowl, or bucket.

  2. Fill containers (ice-cube trays, muffin tins, cups, etc) with water and food colouring.

  3. Place scoops of snow on a plate or tray, and use pipettes or eyedroppers to make colourful designs on the snow!

  4. When you are done colouring your snow, dump it in the sink or tub and fill up your plate with new fresh snow from the bowl!

The snow starts to get very wet and heavy as it starts to melt when you bring it indoors, so even fluffy, dry snow outside can become wet snowball snow when it is indoors!
