Fishing with Kids

We have been doing a lot of fishing lately, and introducing the kids to this life skill. The other day Sprout #2 caught her first fish! Could a four year old be any more happy? We are loving these "hide-a-hook" bobbers we are using! The hook slides into the bobber when casting so there is no hooks catching on things! It gives the Littles practice with their casting and less fear for all those around! 😄

We are loving taking the time to fish together as a family! Quieting down, enjoying God's beautiful creation, learning to observe, learning how to skin and cook fish--all good skills. These are the things we want to pass on to our children and are so glad we can. What are some things that you are passing down to your kids?
