Rotary Park Run Down Fat Bike Race

Lap #2

This past weekend, Tristan was able to be a part of the 2nd Annual Rotary Park Run Down, a Fat Bike race in Summerside, PEI. We have been fat biking all winter, but not in the last 3 weeks due to a bad chest cough, but there is only one Fat Bike race in the winter here, so… cough or not, Tristan signed up! It was a great time, everyone had a lot of fun, with 28 competitors, in three skill levels. Tristan biked a total of about 13.5 km over 3 laps of the park trails, and had a blast.

Snack break for the spectators

Mommy and the kids came to watch, and after a few minutes of complaining of the cold the oldest three warmed up by climbing and exploring part of the woods with a few other kids. That warmed them up! After the race our family went sledding down a couple hills, and altogether was a great time out with the snow, bikes and sleds. What more can you ask for?

Baby congratulating daddy at the finish line!
